I am an illustrative designer. What does that mean? It's sort of a merging of design with picture-making. I am an illustrator who designs and a designer who illustrates. I utilize my well-developed drawing and observational skills in my design process, and I incorporate design issues into my illustration projects. No matter which you hire me to do for you, you get the complete package. I strive to marry aesthetic principles with function so that the result is not just going to look good, it's going to do something. My strength lies in my ability to envision where you want to go (what your future success looks like) and then to design, draw, write and coordinate all the parts into visual assets that achieve those objectives.

Identity Creation of unique logo or trademark, stand-alone or with applications to communications formats, graphic standards manuals, research and consultation.

Illustration Traditional methods and materials converted to digital imagery; created to communicate an idea, describe a process or tell a story in visual terms. Applications include advertising, retail and editorial. My experience is in portraits, sports and action, botanical, landscape and technical.

Print Brochures, direct mail, announcements; catalogs and publications; apparel and fleet graphics, signage, point of purchase, etc.

Web Design Informational or commercial, concept through publication and ongoing maintenance; electronic newsletters and banners. Blogs, Flash, social networking support and SEO implementation.

Advertising Design Designed to publication specs; includes magazine and newspaper ads, directories, Flash cinema ads, transit signage, banners, billboards, posters, point of purchase and displays, etc.

Branding Development of the entire package and line extensions, creating a presence in print and online.

Photography Original photographs in a photo-journalistic style. Subjects include locations, people, product and objects, using natural or available light. Custom photography is a great alternative to stock photos, and is affordable.
